Lunch with Ode to Fruits

An Ode to Fruit features six courses of elevated interpretations of both rare and everyday fruits, bridging familiar Asian flavors with refined French techniques. Each chapter of the menu reflects a distinctive category of fruit, from the Aggregate (fruit borne from a merger of multiple ovaries such as raspberries) and Drupe (stone fruit with a “pit” center such as mangoes and plums) to the Berry (fruit with seeds and pulp from the ovary of a single flower such as strawberries), Pome (fruits with a “core” of several small seeds such as apples and quinces), Nuts (dry fruit that consists of a hard shell covering a single seed such as almonds) and Legumes (dry and fleshy several-seeded fruit such as peas and beans).

To celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th March, 2020, on the night of 5th March, 2020, 1-Michelin-starred TATE Dining Room will welcome seven inspiring female figures of various industries to join Chef & Owner Vicky Lau for a charity dinner collaboration. For one night only, guests will partake in an empowering event in which some of Hong Kong’s most esteemed female icons showcase their culinary talents, each contributing one course to the evening’s 8-course tasting menu.

Chef Vicky Lau will kick off the guest chef series at TATE Dining Room with Chef Ana Ros of Hisa Franko on 16-17 January 2020. Chef Ana is a self-taught cook who put restaurant Hisa Franko on the map when she received the World’s Best Female Chef award back in 2017 and starred in her own episode of popular Netflix series, Chef’s Table.

Guest chef residence programme for 2020, featuring the world’s most celebrated female chefs

TATE Dining Room has announced a series of exclusive chef collaborations in the coming New Year. Chef-patron Vicky Lau will host exclusive dinner events with three of the world’s most pioneering female chefs, including Ana Ros (Hisa Franko, Slovenia), Manu Buffara (Restaurante Manu, Brazil) and Leonor Espinosa (Restaurant Leo, Colombia) from January till August 2020.
